I’m Dr. Umesh Krishna, a practicing pathologist. HemaSync began as a personal project to make the manual differential counting I perform regularly faster, more consistent, and less tedious, while keeping interpretation and decision-making firmly in the hands of the pathologist.
I began developing HemaSync as an independent project because useful laboratory tools should not be limited to institutions that can afford expensive proprietary systems. It is my contribution to the community of pathologists, trainees, and laboratory professionals I am part of—created in response to real workflow challenges encountered in everyday practice.
HemaSync is built around a human-first principle: AI assists; professional judgment remains with the pathologist.
